Other
Programs:
Intersect
offers two other programs on site, and collaborates with two programs off
site:
1.
New Directions Program (on site)
– The
New Directions Program is for youth 12 – 17 years who have come into
conflict with the law. These
programs provide opportunities to develop personal and social skills
through wilderness and urban
pursuits. Referrals are made
by Youth Probation.
2.
Intersect School Program (on site)
–
The school program provides education services to youth 14 – 18 years of
age. The youth must not
currently be enrolled in other school district programs.
In addition, he or she must be receiving services from Intersect.
3.
Family Centre (off site) - The
family center is made up of a group of agencies working together to
provide child and family centred services within a neighborhood setting.
The primary goal is to serve children from birth to twelve years
old. The family center strives to promote healthy family environments to
families who may have reached a crisis.
4.
Eating Disorders Clinic (off site)
– The
eating disorders clinic is located at the Health Unit.
We have one part-time clinician who works at the clinic with
children/youth dealing with eating disorders.
