The Cougars Teddy Bear Toss is an annual event supported by the WHL Cougars
Hockey Team.
This event is held just before Christmas. When the Cougars score their first
goal, hockey supporters from Prince George and Northern BC, toss Teddy Bears
onto the ice. About 5000 thousand Teddy Bears are tossed to the ice
and these Bears are given to the
RCMP Victim
Service Unit.
and the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army distributes the Bears at Christmas to needy
children.

Victim Services uses the Bears throughout the year to give to children as well
as adults at a time of crisis
